Nightfall is an endgame crafting family, not a universal best-in-slot verdict. Compare the exact weapon, tier, refinement, available skills and defensive stats against the item you already use. A higher rarity alone does not establish the best build.
Compare the same attack and target before and after an equipment change. Include the skills you can actually use and the defensive bonuses you would give up.

This is widely considered the "starter" piece for your Nightfall collection. To find it, travel to the Mistfall Harbor Shrine. Swim toward the waterfall and dive directly underneath it. Follow the hidden passage into the cavern and scale the rock wall. You will find the schematic resting on an icy pedestal. It is a straightforward route, making it the perfect first objective.
The Scythe is hidden in a tunnel network beneath the Wind Trainer's platform. This is a common point of confusion for players. Locate the submerged statue in the water near the platform and swim through the false ground. Follow these turns: Left, Left, Right, Left. Patience is key here; do not rush the jumps or you risk falling into the abyss.
This is the most notorious unlock in the game. You must flip 10 hidden levers scattered across the entire map. Community feedback warns that these levers do not always save their state across servers.
Once you possess the schematic, the weapon recipe unlocks at the blacksmith. However, simply having the schematic is not enough—you need substantial resources. Crafting these items requires specific amounts of Metal Scraps, Silk Threads, and Mythical Refinement Orbs.

Q: Are Nightfall weapons better than First Light weapons? A: There is no universal winner. Compare corresponding item types at the same tier and refinement, including the skills you can cast and the defensive bonuses you need. Do not apply a Katana comparison to every Firstlight or Nightfall item.
Q: Can I get all schematics in a single day? A: It is possible, but highly difficult. The lever-based quests for the Sickles and the statue-hit requirements for the Gauntlets are very time-consuming. We recommend tackling one weapon per session to avoid burnout.
Q: What is the fastest way to get Refinement Ore? A: The most reliable method is running the Ouwigahara dungeon. Banking 30,000 points and trading them for materials is significantly faster than relying on low-percentage world event chest drops.
